Let’s Put The SOUL in Social Distancing

Wow Social Distancing…where do we even start… Just a week ago we were traveling all around San Francisco and planning our trip to Peru in May and now we are stocking up on food and on mandatory lock down here in Los Angeles.

Covid-19 AKA CoronaVirus

Corona Virus or Covid-19 has blind sided the world and all we can collectively do to help is stay away from each other and stay home? Keep reading to find out how we are dealing with the Social Distancing and Lockdown.

Things have happened so fast

In the matter of a week things have rapidly have gotten worse, The hot spots like Washington, California, Florida and New York continue to grow in numbers everyday. The shelves in every store are completely bare.

The Worlds on Lockdown

The President is on the news everyday talking about the new safety guidelines of America, test kits, the stock market, and now a potential stimulant check for all. Schools, Bars, Restaurants, Night clubs, Churches or any place people could gather are all closed here in LA — and – WE ARE NOW ON LOCKDOWN!

STAY HOME

We see a lot of people going on with their lives, acting as if this will just blow over and not taking Social Distancing serious enough. The attitudes that “we are young” and “it wont happen to me” or the consensus that “we are all just over reacting” is sad and insensitive — The truth is, we are all ONE. The strength of the system of the world depends on its weakest link.

Just a reminder from your friendly Los Angeles Creators: STAY HOME! SPREAD ❤️ NOT THE VIRUS 🦠 . . . We want you to meet a few of our LA Based friends! Get ready to fall in love with each of them and their accounts as they are some of the best human beings we know!!! Some of these beautiful people we have met IRL and some we only have virtual relationships with!!! Nonetheless we admire them all the same and we all have one thing in common! LA is where we all call HOME! . . . Yesterday our Mayor, @ericgarcetti, @mayorofla had to go one step further and close state parks and beaches because there are so many people still ignoring the rules to not congregate in the outdoors with others. His plea for people to stay home has not fallen on deaf ears here!! We all have been #saferathome and want to encourage you to STAY HOME if you are already not doing so!! You’ve been told for weeks now to stay home and help slow the spread of coronavirus… It seems the social distancing message has not landed yet with everybody. So we shall say it for the people waiting to see what happens—The very same virus that is creating untold devastation in Italy and elsewhere is here in our neighborhoods and spreading in our community right now. It threatens us with an onslaught! But we are not powerless in this situation. We can push it back. We can fight back! We urge everyone across society to do the right thing. Do it not just for yourself but for your family, friends and neighbors. Do it for our health workers, the tired doctors, the nurses, the grocery store workers, your mom, dad and grandparents! Do it for the stranger you will never know you saved! . . . Stay at home. Save lives. When or if you absolutely have to go out, keep your distance from others. And keep washing your hands throughout the day.—-Please everyone hammer this message home however you can and let’s STAY strong together – By you making this decision today, you will save lives tomorrow! . . . Big shout out to these amazing people: #lalove @taryndudley @roamaroo @officiallyquigley @askaconcierge @latravelgirl @dashofting @xkflyaway @thelagirl

Social Distancing

If you ask us how we feel about all this, we will tell you straight up that this is serious, this is real, and we feel like it’s only gonna get worse before it gets better. As of right now we are doing our part and social distancing. It’s not because we fear of getting sick, we fear that by being selfish and going on with our lives we jeopardize those who aren’t as immune around us.

LOOK INWARD

While we are all Social Distancing lets look at this time off to finally get our lives in order!!! To look inward and reevaluate what it is we are focusing our time and energy on.

With everything going on it kind of feels like the world knew we all collectively needed a break – Maybe some Soul-cial Distancing is in order. A break from the stress of work, a break from always traveling and a break from our constant excuses. We are looking at this social distancing and Quarantine time as a blessing and a way to re focus on what’s important in life.

We’ve put together a list last night of things we want to work on for the next 15 days and you might like to consider too! We broke it up between self, house, work.

Regain flexibility

DREAM

This is a big one for us! We will be dreaming of all our future travels and the day we can hug our family and friends!!

PLEASE REMAIN CALM AND STAY HOME

In no way shape or form do we want to spread fear or feed into the panic, but we want to encourage you to stay home.

Wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough… And seriously stop buying up all the toilet paper, food, water and diapers! There’s more than enough for everyone like there’s always been!!

In a time that can feel so desperate and hard, is a time that we can all turn inward and reflect. Let’s get creative, let’s make it a point to reach out to our families and use technology to our advantage!

[DAY 17] What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you. . . . We know… it’s been a rough few weeks! We feel it too. We are ALL going through really tough uncertain times— although no one could of predicted the world would be going through this together! In these challenging situations, maintaining a good mindset is probably the most important thing you can do— and although it can be difficult to smile through the tears it’s important to try. It will allow you to stay upbeat, avoid pointless sorrow, persist through the hardship, find smart solutions to stay productive and eventually turn your attitude around until the situation around us is all over…. We believe that there are a few key ideas to keep in mind when the going gets tough, in order to stay positive, be resilient and get through this a stronger person! . . •There Are a Lot of Things to Be Grateful For- COUNT THOSE DAILY . • Even Bad Times End. . . • You’ve Overcome Challenges Before. . . • We are all in this together. . . • We are all going to come out of this more connected and stronger! . . My only fear throughout this whole ordeal is that the majority of people come out of their houses unchanged!! Be the light at the end of the tunnel not the boulder covering the exit. . . . How has your last two weeks been? DROP YOUR FLAG TO LET US KNOW WHERE HOME IS FOR YOU! 🇺🇸🇧🇷🇧🇪🇨🇦🇦🇺🇫🇷🇩🇪🇯🇲🇮🇳🇱🇹🇵🇪🇸🇪🇰🇷🇿🇦🇬🇧
